TWIN's Recruitment Drive
Folks,
As you know, TWIN is gradually expanding the scope of its activities
and initiatives. As we start more and more new initiatives, we need
many volunteers to run and manage TWIN's activities in different parts
of the country. At the moment, we have a core set of volunteers in
Bangalore, so we are organizing a slew of events and initiatives in
Bangalore. However, we are also organizing many webinars and
contests, which benefit everyone in this huge community.
We now need an enthusiastic team of volunteers to play the role of
TWIN ambassadors to promote the technical writing profession in India.
TWIN is an enabler only. Our core objective is to create learning
and networking opportunities (not the usual, beaten-to-death monthly
learning sessions or an annual conference), so we learn from one
another in this great journey.
Here's more information.
a) We will put together a core team of TWIN ambassadors, who will
drive initiatives and projects at the India level. You can come up
with new ideas or implement our current ideas. We're looking for at
least 5 such ambassadors. This is a voluntary position, and you have
our sincere gratitude. Job satisfaction guaranteed!
b) We will have four TWIN Managers, who will organize and manage
activities and events in four different zones: North, South, West, and
East. These TWIN Managers will be responsible for promoting the
profession in their respective zones. They can visit colleges,
universities, government departments, and so on. They can organize
press meets to announce new initiatives, activities, and so on. More
importantly, the TWIN Managers will be responsible for running and
managing 1-day conferences in their respective zones. We want our
initiatives and activities to benefit as many people as possible.
Yes, four 1-day conferences with specific themes is new this year.
All this for no or little money! What else can you ask for?
Here's what can do next.
If you are interested in contributing to the technical writing
community through TWIN, send an email message to Akash
(akashjd@yahoo.com) or to me (gururaj.bs@gmail.com) by May 5th.
There's no strict selection process or meaningless election. Tell us
what you can do for TWIN, and we will discuss how to make that happen.
Thanks,
Gururaj
TWIN Owner
