Suneeta Aggarwal is the Director of Technical Publications at TIBCO Software Inc, a provider of infrastructure software for companies to use on-premise or as part of cloud computing environments. Suneeta has undergraduate degrees in business management and computer science and worked as a software engineer before actively seeking a career in technical writing. She has been with TIBCO for over 20 years building and leading a global technical writing team with staff in six locations across three continents – USA, Europe, and Asia. Suneeta also managed localization for many years. Suneeta is passionate about the technical writing profession and has been a regular presenter at technical writing and localization conferences.

Based in Melbourne, Australia, Dr Tony Self has over 30 years of experience as a technical communicator. He founded HyperWrite, a company providing training and consultancy in structured authoring, Help systems, DITA, and technology strategy. He is a member of the OASIS DITA Technical Committee, and an adjunct teaching fellow at Swinburne University.

Venkat is a Sr.Information Engineer at Hewlett-Packard, Bangalore. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science, post-graduate Diploma in Computer Office (DCO) automation, and an MBA in Project Management. He has over 7 years of experience in technical writing, and has worked for Novell and Tally Solutions. His interests include trekking, music, and emerging technology.

Michael David is an accomplished Technical Writer and System Administrator, who currently works at Adobe Systems. He has over 14 yrs of experience in Technical Writing and Linux/FreeBSD System Administration. He is passionate about system security and server optimization. He is a Certified Ethical Hacker.

Tatjana Schmidt holds a graduate-level degree in Electrotechnical Engineering and a certificate from a continuing education program in technical communication. She works in translation and technical writing for Siemens, Germany for 15 years. Currently she is the head of the technical writing departments for three locations in the field of building technologies and security. Tatjana Schmidt is responsible for the standardization and tool harmonization in three different locations world-wide: U.S.A., India, Germany. She is a consultant and trainer for the tools in all of these locations.

Prior to joining MadCap Software, Michael Hamilton served as the Product Manager for Macromedia’s award-winning RoboHelp product line. As product manager of RoboHelp for most of its life, Mr. Hamilton gathered input and feedback from the customer community and guided ongoing development of the various RoboHelp products. Mr. Hamilton
joined the RoboHelp family in 1998 as a founding member of the Training Solutions Program team, where he co-authored the certified training materials supporting the RoboHelp family.

Mr. Hamilton has over twenty years of experience in training, technical communication, multimedia development, and software development at several organizations including Cymer, a leading supplier of laser illumination sources to the semiconductor industry, National Steel & Shipbuilding and the US Navy.

Eeshita Grover, Senior Manager Technical Communications, has been driving content design and strategies for hi-tech companies like Symantec and Cisco. She has also been engaged in teaching XML Authoring and Content Management Systems at San Jose State University’s Technical Writing program.

An ardent optimist and self-motivated, Eeshita is at her best strategizing and defining new heights in content strategies at Cisco. Anupama is currently Senior Manager, Documentation and User Experience at CDC Software, an Enterprise Software company. Anu has been in the field of Technical Communication for over 15 years now. Armed with a Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation, and decent writing skills, she entered this field with a gleam in her eye and excitement in her heart. She hasn’t lost both since then!! She believes this field has so much potential, and hasn’t been tapped enough by the Indian Tech. Comm. community. Anu has also been an active champion of Technical Communication in India. She is one of the founding members of the STC India Chapter, and has had a long association with the chapter since then. Kapil is a Senior Product Manager at Adobe Systems Inc., where he manages the FrameMaker line of products (which includes FrameMaker and FrameMaker Server). He is responsible for the overall FrameMaker product strategy and roadmap, partner ecosystem management and customer relationship. Prior to Adobe, he worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Co., where he served Fortune 500 High Tech and Telecomm corporations on a variety of strategic topics. Earlier, he worked at Capital One in Virginia, where he developed and shaped marketing strategy.

Vivek is a Senior Engineering Manager at Adobe Systems. He has been managing RoboHelp and RoboHelp Server engineering since Dec 2005. He was the first member to come onboard for RoboHelp engineering, and is responsible for setting up the development team from scratch. Since then, he has led the development of four RoboHelp releases with major features like XHTML, Unicode, Multi-language Support, Adobe AIR Help, ExtendScript, Table Styles, Resource Manager, FrameMaker-RoboHelp integration workflow in the Adobe Technical Communication Suite, PDF Review and many more. He was the key influencer in getting RoboHelp Server rewritten in the version 8 release. Before RoboHelp, Vivek worked as a developer on Acrobat and FrameMaker products in Adobe. Praful is an Engineering Manager at Adobe Systems, Inc. He is currently managing RoboHelp and RoboHelp Server engineering. He is one of the longest-serving members of the Adobe RoboHelp engineering team. Since joining the RoboHelp team, he has been part of the development team for four major RoboHelp releases. He has conceptualized and designed many innovative features from scratch, including Adobe AIRHelp, ExtendScript, EPUB generation and several others. Prior to joining Adobe, Praful worked as developer with Intel Inc. Nakshatra is a Lead Software Engineer at Adobe Systems, Inc. He is one of the key members of the FrameMaker engineering team since the last three releases. His prime responsibilities and ownership areas include
the XML authoring standards support (DITA1.2), hierarchical books, WebDAV and CMS integration with Documentum in FrameMaker. Prior to Adobe, Nakshatra has worked with Infosys and AmSoft Systems and has experience in internet networks, telecom technologies, operating systems and desktop publishing. His interests include XML technologies, product strategy, business intelligence and social media engagements. Nakshatra has a Master’s degree in Business Management from IIM Lucknow and Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecom from the University of Pune.

Tomasz Mróz (Operations Director, XTRF Management Systems Ltd.) has been active on the international scene for over 10 years. He joined XTRF at its very beginning. Tomasz is the co-creator of the development concept behind XTRF and its company. He is in charge of product development and manages Sales and Customer Service. Tomasz represents XTRF and lectures at many industry conferences and trade fairs.

Andrzej Nedoma (Managing Director, XTRF Management Systems Ltd.) Graduate (2003) of the engineering and economics studies at the Faculty of Management and Marketing of Stanisław Staszic University of Science and Technology in Krakow. Matthew Varghese is a content architect at Networking and Cloud division, Citrix. Before starting acrolinx, Andrew was Head of the Technology Transfer Centre at the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) Language Technology Lab. Prof. Jürgen Muthig teaches at Karlsruhe University for Applied Sciences in the Technical Communication Program. He is an expert in the classical field of technical documentation with a focus on standardization methods. His academic background is in linguistics, language philosophy, and cognitive psychology. Prof. Muthig studied at the Universities of Frankfurt, Tübingen, and Tufts (Boston, USA). Kumar Dhanagopal works as a lead writer at Oracle India. In a tech-comm career spanning 12 years, Kumar has worked in companies such as Intel, SAP, and BEA, delivering documentation for a range of audiences in the telecom, semiconductor, networking, business applications, and middleware domains. Prof. Dr. Klaus-Dirk Schmitz is a full professor for terminology studies and language technology at the Institute for Translation and Multilingual Communication at Cologne University of Applied Sciences, Managing Director of the Institute for Information Management at Cologne University of Applied Sciences, Vice-president of the German Terminology Association and Chairman of the German National Standards Committee “Systems for managing terminology, knowledge and content”.

Alan Houser is a distinguished technical publishing consultant and trainer and a popular presenter at technical communication conferences. Alan is a Society for Technical Communication (STC) Fellow and was elected STC Vice President in 2011. Alan will become STC President in May 2012.

Sairaj Vaithilingam is head of Content and Design Services (C&DS) at Cognizant. C&DS comprises three business units: User Experience and Design, User Documentation, and eLearning. Sairaj has been instrumental in transforming a 5-member internal communication group into a large business unit within Cognizant. Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Martin Schober has studied mechanical engineering with a focus on information technology at the university of Karlsruhe . Kapil Verma is the Product Manager of FrameMaker at Adobe Systems, India. He is responsible for the overall FrameMaker product strategy and roadmap, partner and customer relationship management. Prior to Adobe, he was a management consultant at McKinsey & Co, where he served Fortune 500 High Tech and Telecomm corporations on a variety of strategic topics. Prior to McKinsey, he worked at Capital One in Virginia, where he developed and managed several direct marketing programs on a portfolio of 2 million credit card customers. He also worked as a software engineer briefly at Microland Technology in Bangalore. He has an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and a B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Delhi. Mr. Janardhana Swamy is a Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), India. He
is elected to the 15th Lok Sabha on 2009, and is representing the Chitradurga Lok Sabha Constituency in the Parliament of India. He is a member of the Council of Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), which is headed by the President of India.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering (instrumentation technology) from U.B.D.T. He is a visiting Faculty teaching a 3-credits course ‘Marketing of Information Technology’ course at Thiagarajar School of Management, Madurai. Before joining Yahoo, he was a Senior Program Manager (level 2) at Adobe Systems, India and a guest faculty at Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. He has worked as a Senior Program Manager at Aventail (now SonicWALL) and Head of Technical Marketing for India and Technical Marketing Manager for E-Commerce at Wipro Technologies, Systems Analyst at Infosys. He has an MBA in finance and marketing from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and an electronics engineering degree from Bangalore Institute of Technology, Bangalore University. He is scheduled to co-teach ‘Managing Software Business’ course at IIM Lucknow during Dec 2011 – Feb 2012.

Gururaj is a senior documentation manager at Oracle, Bangalore. At Oracle, he manages documentation for Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud, Oracle Exalytics In-Memory Machine, and Oracle Fusion Middleware products. He has over 13 years of experience in technical communication. He has been instrumental in launching technical communication courses at Christ University, Bangalore. He is a weekend guest faculty teaching technical communication and professional writing to MA English and MS Communication students at Christ University. He has contributed to the development of a text book on professional editing (scientific, technical, and medical content) for Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). He has conducted several workshops on English grammar and editing. He has a bachelor’s degree in Science and a master’s degree in English. He holds a defensive publication in a new editing methodology, which he developed during his stint at Hewlett-Packard. He has a penchant for English grammar, editing, and cloud computing.
