    \r\nLooking for smart and motivated UX writer or technical writer who wants to spread his or her wings to become a UX writer. You will support Symantec's Trust Services group's writing efforts for Enterprise applications in the UI and in other formats. \r\n

    \r\n\r\nResponsibilities\r\n
    \r\n\r\n

      \r\n
    • Write and edit accurate, concise, and compelling UI content and documentation for Web-based security applications\r\nThink independently and have great problem-solving skills
    • \r\n

    • Work and collaborate with interaction and visual designers to ensure that content placement and user interface designs meet the needs of our users
    • \r\n
    • Work and collaborate with user researchers to determine best information for different deliverables
    • \r\n
    • Work with product management and marketing to create content for promotions of e-commerce security products
    • \r\n
    • Define content tasks for each product release
    • \r\n
    • Work with other members of the User Experience team to develop prototypes for usability testing and as source of truth for engineering and QA
    • \r\n
    • Create and edit XML and HTML to incorporate content that has been developed
    • \r\n
    • Ensure that content standards are defined and followed across all products
    • \r\n
    \r\n\r\n
    \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nQualifications\r\n
    \r\n\r\n
      \r\n
    • Previous experience writing UI content--this position requires a good balance of technical writing, Web-based product writing, and content strategy
    • \r\n
    • Strong analytical skills to synthesize highly complex subject matter into concise, accessible, understandable, creative, and relevant web content that helps our customers
    • \r\n
    • Experience with XMLSpy or similar XML editors, Dreamweaver, Microsoft Word, and Adobe PDF
    • \r\n
    • A strong customer advocate
    • \r\n
    • Ability to transform technical jargon into readable, concise, and compelling prose
    • \r\n
    • Superlative verbal and written communication skills
    • \r\n
    • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with all departments in the division
    • \r\n
    • Exceptional organizational skills to allow you to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
    • \r\n
    • BA or BS at minimum; prefer higher education with strong grades
    • \r\n \r\n
    \r\n\r\nNice to have qualifications are:\r\n
    \r\n\r\n
      \r\n
    • Strong experience and advanced knowledge of creating, maintaining, debugging and editing XML and HTML
    • \r\n
    • Experience documenting APIs or related programming experience
    • \r\n
    • Experience with content management systems or related technologies
    • \r\n
    • Experience with wiki technology or related technologies
    • \r\n
    \r\n\r\n\r\n
