    Job Summary:\r\nYrs of exp : 4.8 Yrs\r\nJob Location : Bangalore\r\nAs Technical Writer you will write or revise hardware and software documentation for NetApp's products and technologies. Documentation may include books, guides, main pages, release notes, on-line help, embedded help, error messes, web pages, flyers, posters, and videos. You will work cross-functionally with other professionals in the Engineering, Field Support, Sales, and Marketing groups, as well as NetAppp customers who use NetApp products and services. The successful individual in this role will be a team player who is comfortable working as an individual contributor, and who has a passion for working in the technology industry. \r\n\r\nThe focus of deliverables that the Technical Writers are responsible for is to drive ease-of-use into NetApp hardware, software and information products so that the customers' experience of NetApp products in improved. \r\n\r\nEssential Functions: \r\n- Full responsibility for completing a book of moderate complexity. \r\n- Write material for user manuals, on-line documents and other per project plan. \r\n- Write documentation plan. \r\n- Update existing materials. \r\n- Implement library strategies for a product line. \r\n- Implement architectures for an information development group. \r\n- Programming, system administration, or editing\r\n\r\nJob Requirements\r\nDemonstrates expertise in API Documentation based and minimalistic writing.\r\n- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. \r\n- Excellent grammatical skills are required. \r\n- Familiar with engineering and manufacturing documentation required for new product introduction. \r\n- Strong knowledge of company products and technology. \r\n- Demonstrated expertise in most current publishing tools. \r\n- Strong technical skills. \r\n- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of other writers, editors and cross functional peers to support deadlines. \r\n- Ability to understand and follow: \r\n- NetApp publications standards and production processes \r\n- Burt processes \r\n- Perforce processes \r\n- Information mapping processes \r\n\r\nResponsibility and Interaction: \r\nResponsibility: \r\n- The tasks this individual is responsible for are often non-routine and unstructured, requiring creative solutions. \r\n- This individual will apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving routine to moderately complex problems. \r\nInteraction: \r\n- This individual must work effectively with Staff to Vice President level employees within the function, and the technical team on assigned projects. There may be communication with employees in other functions as required. \r\n- Limited management direction is provided to employee on new projects or assignments as well as review of activities and priorities. \r\n- The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert on team projects. \r\n- To be successful, this individual must demonstrate favorable results through coaching and influencing others.\r\n\r\nEducation and Experience \r\n- A minimum of 5 years of technical writing experience is required. \r\n- A Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree in English, Journalism, Computer Science or Engineering is required. \r\n- Technical experience is preferred \r\n- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks.\r\n
