    As a technical editor you will be expected to work independently and in collaboration with the writers to edit and maintain documentation, estimate effort requirements for projects, and provides input on the overall production cycle, perform substantive editing, perform copy editing and production checks, participate in the development and maintenance of QA tools such as Acrolinx and gather and communicate quality metrics for writers’ performance and for documentation quality. This role requires excellent command of the US version of the English language and its application, and mastery of the Corporate Style Manual, significant experience as a technical editor for a technology-focused software company, applying the rules of US English; experience in networking, telecommunication, or IP technologies highly preferred, competence with industry-standard technical writing tools, including DITA, XML editors, and Adobe Acrobat, a strong understanding of content development models, product and documentation release cycles, and how the creation and publishing of product documentation fits into the overall process and excellent time management and organization skills.
