    Experience -

    2 positions – Delhi – 3-6 years\r\nBangalore – 5- 8 years \r\n\r\nWorks with internal and external organizations to develop, plan and write/edit internal and external technical documentation. Work requires use of the appropriate editorial/logical methodologies and process management. Ensures that documentation is written in a manner that customers with limited to highly proficient technical product knowledge can understand and use the material. Partners with different internal stakeholders to complete various documentation needs for the various lines of business. Principal Accountabilities\r\n\r\n• Writes, edits and proofs hardcopy and online documents for consistency. Examples: reference documents for hardware and software products, code, user interface tests, white papers, Application Program Interface and Command Line Interface Documentation, online help systems.\r\n• Ensures all deliverables are technically and mechanically accurate.\r\n• Collaborates with department team members, engineering, marketing, services, legal, regulatory and others to develop content for standard documentation sets, software and special initiatives in-line with the development cycle.\r\n• Creates and manages document schedules, content management, and information architecture.\r\n• Defines processes for content modification, content globalization, content sensitivity, content accessibility / disability (508).\r\n• Maintains content, tools, application access, account administration, and workflow administration.\r\n• More experienced writers may train outside business groups as needed on tools, applications, reporting, and content workflow needs.\r\n• Defines, ratifies, documents and monitors Dell documentation management processes and procedures to comply with ISO and internal quality standards.\r\nKnowledge of basic principles, methods, technologies and practices of a professional/technical field.\r\n- Apply a basic understanding of the underlying principles of a professional discipline -typically obtained through formal study.\r\n? General knowledge of procedures and activities within own work area.\r\n- Ability to relate actual day-to-day work to business priorities.\r\n? Focused on learning the key aspects and duties of the job being performed.\r\nApplies research, information gathering and analytical skills.\r\n- Implements appropriate alternatives from defined options.\r\n- Collects required documentation; verifies conformance of documents with standards.\r\n- Assesses accuracy of detailed information.\r\n- Tracks, maintains and produces regular and ad hoc reports.\r\n? Handles detailed, structured problems.\r\n- Identifies roadblocks to task completion and effectively brings them to management for resolution.\r\n- Generally uses existing procedures to resolve standard problems.\r\nEducation - Bachelor of Engineering / Science / Literature\r\n\r\n\r\n
